The emergency locator transmitter (ELT) will be mounted on Van's ELT/Strobe bracket on the side of the rear fuselage. Getting the pull rivets installed to hold this required my super skinny tight access puller tool. Van's prepunched this for other brands of ELT/Strobe power packs. I decided to line the ELT bracket up with the lightening hole, figuring that would get the ELT mounted level to the horizontal plane.
