The plans had some minor differences, and I may need to put in a diagonal brace to support the vertical parts that hold the tail. It seems pretty sturdy the way it is. Found some foam to cradle the tail. Having the ability to move the wings around on their stand worked well in my cramped building space. Doing the same for the fuselage makes sense.
Update: It definitely needs the diagonal brace between the tail support and the long cross beam.
Second Update: I ended up taking 8" off of the height of the stand so that I could open the tip up canopy without hitting the ceiling in the garage. It also makes it much easier to reach over into the cabin for wiring, etc.
